Shallow , oval Yew bowl.
Turned from a log cut horizontally across the tree trunk, it displays the typical markings and colours of Yew , as well as the irregular shape of the tree .
Small cracks, typical of Yew have been filled with brass to emphasise them and add as a feature .
A rough count of the growth rings indicate it to be around 80 years old. It blew down in the storm of 1987.
